22 Weeks Pregnant
I’m 22 weeks pregnant – whoop! It’s been a busy week as it’s my last week at work before I leave for the Christmas break. I CANNOT WAIT.
My sleep hasn’t been great this week so I’m really looking forward to a rest and hopefully a lie in every now and again :)
I’m not sleeping for a few reasons – there’s so much on my mind with being busy at home and work, my husband has started snoring like a bear most nights and I’m also starting to get a bit uncomfortable as the bump is growing bigger.
Actually I feel quite massive now – this isn’t helped my a ‘lovely’ colleague telling me I already look full term. Grrrr.
I think I need to do some stretching as my hips feel particularly painful when I’m turning from one side to the other in bed. Oh I’ll be so pleased when I can lie on my back again after the birth. I wish I had a pregnancy pillow but I just don’t have the spare cash to invest in one when there are so many other things to buy. Bad time of year for more spending!
The week has gone quickly though and I haven’t been bothered by too many symptoms but I am not feeling a lot of kicks and squirms from Mini – hurray! Especially when I’m trying to get to sleep at night :) Also if I’m sat down and leaning forwards she gives me a little kick to encourage me to lean back and give her more room. Cheeky baby already.
This week I thought more about my birth options and I’m still a bit unsure as to whether to go for a homebirth or not.
I also need to make a decision on how much mat leave to take – I think I’ll leave worrying about that until after Christmas though. I wish I could take a year but the chances of being able to afford that are low so I’m hoping to make it 6 months.
Mini is now apparently the size of papaya! I definitely do feel quite a bit bigger now, bigger than when I was pregnant with Miss M anyway but I’m not concerned…yet!
I hope you’re all having lovely weeks and getting prepared for Christmas!!
