Argan Mum to Be Stretch Mark Body Oil Review

This is my current battle of course! So I was delighted to be sent the Argan Mum To Be Stretch Mark Body Oil to test out.

Last pregnancy, I was lucky enough not to get any stretch marks but I’m still paranoid that I might get them this time.  Especially as I’m sure I’m already a lot bigger and I can feel my skin stretching and itching more this time round.  Noooooooo.

Yes, that’s argan oil for the skin, not just the hair!

It combines nourishing argan oil and a delicate fusion of safe ingredients to help prevent stretch marks by keeping the skin supple and is available from Boots.

It blends green algae extract, ultra moisturising shea butter and calming patchouli with five additional precious oils to help provide the intense hydration and nourishment.

I’ve been using it for about a month now, popping it on around 4 times a week after a shower in the places I fear the stretch marks might make an appearance, particularly my tummy and hips.

I have to say, it smells divine!  It’s so lovely and makes me feel very special using it as it smells like a real spa product.

The oil glides on very easily and is not too tacky and I can put my clothes on very quickly afterwards.  Although it doesn’t completely dry 100% (I’m too impatient to wait), it hasn’t stained any of my clothes like previous oils I’ve used have.

So far I absolutely love it and time will tell if it does help to prevent the dreaded stretch marks.

Of course I don’t know if I will get them or not until, well, it happens and perhaps it’s a genetic thing anyway but I’ll try anything I can to help keep them at bay.  I so rarely get time to pamper myself too so it’s nice to take an extra few minutes in my routine, especially when it smells so lovely.

Do you have any tips on preventing stretch marks?  Or do you think they’re just an inevitable result of pregnancy?  I’d love to hear your thoughts.
