The fantastic thing about this carrier is that it’s great for babies aged from Newborn to 3 years old (3.5-15kgs) and so will last us for another 18 months yet with Mini.Win a BabyBjorn Carrier One worth $229.95! lovefrommim.com BabyBjorn Baby Carrier One Baby Wearing Best Baby Carrier Best Baby Sling BabyBjorn Baby Carriers Christmas Gift Giveaway

This lovely, lightweight carrier is an ergonomic carrier with a wide seat area. It’s also been acknowledged as a hip-healthy baby carrier by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute and this was so important to me.

The waist band easily clips into place and, as with all of the straps, can be adjusted both ways so easily to get baby in and out. Both my husband and I use this carrier and can adjust the straps easily to our different physical requirements.

Good King Wenceslas – I love hearing small kids sing this at Christmas events, and hearing their different pronunciations of “Wenceslas”!

I’m embarrassed to admit it’s Maria Carey’s ‘All I want for Christmas is youuuuuuuuu’ which I use to insist we put on every year while decorating the tree at my parents house :)

‘All I want for Christmas is You’ by Mariah Carey. It’s the first song I play as we put our Christmas tree up to get the whole family in the Christmas spirit! It singnifies the start of Christmas to me🎄

GOD REST YE MERRY GENTLEMEN. It’s an old world tune, with a chorus as lovely to me as it is delightful, and I get the simplest of pleasures singing it loud in my best choir voice (when no one is home and I’m wrapping pressies!!!).

Jingle Bells. Fpr some reason when my bub was a newborn the tune of Jingle Bells would put him to sleep. He still loves when i hum it to him.

  14. 4th November 2016 / 4:43 pm

Jingle Bells because its the only one my toddler can sing and she’s so cute when she sings it.

CAROL OF THE BIRDS starts with “Out on the plains the brolgas are dancing”. Can’t get more Australian then that. We had brolgas on the property where I grew up so this Christmas carol is always special to me.

Last Christmas my husband had lung cancer! Having survived surgery and intensive care this Christmas will be healthier and one to be truly thankful for! So my favourite Christmas song is “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” because it reminds me that our troubles are far away, we are together and our friends and family are near!

My favorite Christmas song is Mary Did You Know?. The message is beautiful and is the complete meaning of the season. I love the part of the lyrics that say “Mary did you know that when you look into your baby’s face you are looking into the face of God? Beautiful song and message.

    O christmas tree.
Throughout my childhood, we sang this as we set up our tree. It is a tradition that has followed into my own family. Although my daughter (2) sings O fishy tree – close enough I guess haha

Winter Wonderland is a special song,
I love to dance and sing along.
The Christmas cheer it does bring,
This song is quite the special thing.
It makes me smile with such glee,
This is a special time for me.

Walking in the Air by Aled Jones. It’s the theme tune to a beautiful christmas animated story called ‘The Snowman’ it gives me goosebumps everytime I hear it, as it takes me back to my childhood in the UK, watching it every year on Christmas Eve, and how I would get upset when the Snowman melted at the end. We still watch it now, and I still get teary at the end. A magical song and story!

The Little Drummer Boy. I love the message that the song conveys. Little ones love saying “rum, rum, rum” when they hear the song. And it takes me back to my days at the checkouts where this song would be played hourly from late Oct onward.

I like Silver Bells. When I was in elementary school, I remember singing that song for Christmas concert. It was so exciting for me because all of my classmates and I were wearing matching outfits and my family came out to see me sing.

My all time favourite. Do they know it’s Christmas? By Band Aid. Some of the most amazing vocalists (especially Bono) ever! I love this because I many things, it reminds me of Christmas and spending time with me loves, it reminds me of my youth, man did I love the 80’s, it reminds me of poverty, it reminds me that when people get together to raise awareness, good things happen. I love this song is still raising funds for charities. I also love Bono, did I mention that?
I also love this Baby Bjorn carrier one! There is lots of love in my life at the moment with the new arrival, can you tell?
    Merry Christmas Mim

I’ve always loved Sleigh Ride: “Just hear those sleigh bells jingling, Ring-ting-tingling too…” It’s just so fun with all the tinglings and giddy ups! It gets stuck in my head and I walk around singing it every Christmas. My hubby always joins in and adds his own lyrics too! I can’t wait to sing it with my little girl :)

  47. Elisabeth Martins
    13th November 2016 / 10:02 pm

    Aussie Jingle Bells of course!

    “OH, JINGLE BELLS, JINGLE BELLS
    JINGLE ALL THE WAY
    CHRISTMAS IN AUSTRALIA
    ON A SCORCHING SUMMER’S DAY”

I love it because Christmas songs don’t imply to us because it doesn’t snow, so an Aussie version is better.
