When my baby was about 2 month’s old I got the Boppy nursing pillow. I thought it would be a great investment in helping me feel more physically comfortable when breastfeeding at home. This post contains affiliate links.
The website describes how the pillow was developed with a Lactation Consultant and offers support as a feeding ‘platform’ for baby to lie across.
It also has a removable and washable cover so I figured I could either keep it for any future pregnancies or sell it after I grew out of it.
I didn’t expect to grow out of it quite so quickly! At 3 months, my baby now doesn’t need the pillow – in fact it’s too big and bulky to use so we don’t use a pillow at all. In hindsight I should have gotten one of these from birth or not at all.
However, the pillow can also be used for tummy time for bigger babies as well as supporting them in sitting or propping them up. My 3 month old is too young and small for these benefits so I think for now the bulky Boppy is going to have to be put away.
If you do decide to get one, you can buy it here.
