Decorating the Christmas Tree!

Decorating the Christmas Tree

Finally – FINALLY – we have been decorating the Christmas tree!  After I complained all the way through November that I was impatient and wanted to put the tree up then, we’ve now only just gotten round to it.

We decided to get a small artificial tree this year so bought a 3ft one from Homebase and it’s great quality and very cute.

Our lounge (where the tree is) has an aqua, white and coral theme so we decided upon blue, silver and white baubles, also from Homebase.

The tinsel is blue and silver from Dobbies and we’re still awaiting a silver star from Marks & Spencer (affiliate link).  I couldn’t find a star anywhere this year!  I hope they deliver it soon as it looks a bit weird without it.

We put the tree up while Miss M napped, for a surprise when she woke up, and she was just delighted – it was so cute to watch!

For about an hour she stood and pointed shouting ‘cwiss-mas twee’ over and over again.  Then she grabbed each of her stuffed animals and individually gave them a showing of it too :)

7 hours later, the tree isn’t in quite the ‘well-decorated’ state it started in and most of the baubles are now under the sofas having been ‘lovingly’ pulled off and thrown around but the look on her face made it all worthwhile!

Have you decorated your tree?  If you have pics on a blog or Instagram, send me a link!

:-) We haven’t put up a tree yet this year, and I’m a bit stressed. We usually cut a real tree. My husband had shoulder surgery this week, though and can’t use his dominant arm at all for six weeks.

    Your tree is super cute!!!

Dropping in from the weekend blog hop.

Ahh it sounds like you have other priorities!! Maybe get one of those little pre-decorated trees so the thought it there but not the hassle! :)

Ah, such a cute little tree. Your little one clearly loves it! I’ve actually been quite surprised at how well my son has been in terms of touching the tree and taking decorations off etc. I was expecting a disaster zone but nope, he just occasionally sways this one decoration – a teddy – backwards and forwards every now and again…. Next year will be the disaster zone I think.

Also, we have the same decoration theme as your… Ours is supposed to emulate snow, ice etc.

Thank you! Ah she loves it a bit too much – not many baubles left on it now :) It’s so cute to see her staring at it and laughing though! :)
