Goolie Goolie Dummy Review & Giveaway!

Goolie Goolie Dummy Review & Giveaway!

My second baby is so similar to my first in so many ways except for one big difference – he loves his dummy!

Miss wasn’t interested in the slightest.  We had a go in giving her one so many times in the early days but she would spit back out within seconds so we stopped trying.

Mini has been different from the beginning – put a toy, your finger, even his Dad’s nose in front of his face and he latches on and sucks away!  Take whatever it is away again and he would cry his little eyes out.

We resisted getting him a dummy for a while until we realised that he was just the kind of baby that needed one to feel content and happy and so after buying one and letting him practice for a few days, he soon showed us that he loved it and it was the right decision.

I think the decider came when he gave himself a big ‘love bite’ on his little arm – it was purple!

He generally only has his dummy at nap times and sleep time but a big issue we have at night if he wakes up is not being able to find it.  Then I’ll scramble around in the dark looking for it and end up waking him up more.  It’s such a common issue isn’t it – that stage when they want their dummy but they’re not old enough to hold it well or find it themselves.

So when I saw the Goolie Goolie Dummy range I thought they might be the answer to our prayers!

goolie goolie™ is a soother and comforter in one.  It is a baby’s dummy that is permanently attached to an Australian plush animal, designed to keep the dummy close to baby, without the use of cords or clips.

The Aussie owned range offers 3 super cute dummies to choose from – Koala, Kangaroo and Wombat.  I thought, what better way to introduce Mini M to Australia but to cuddle up to one of these!

They comply with Mandatory Australian Safety Standards, have a medical grade silicone teat, they’re easy to clean and because of the shape of the dummy and size of the attached toy, they’re so much easier for babies to grasp and move around than a normal dummy.

The three iconic Australian animals are a Wombat named Bluey, a Kangaroo called Rusty and Banjo the Koala.

We chose the Koala for Mini M :)

A lovely surprise is the Australian flag embroidered under each foot!

I was so excited when our Goolie Goolie arrived – it was packaged in such a beautiful box and I thought would make a lovely gift for a mum to be :)

Mini loves his Koala Goolie Goolie and so do I – no more frantic searches in the middle of the night for a tiny dummy and a cute friend for him to cuddle up to.
