July Favourites 2016
My July Favourites post contains affiliate links.
July seems to have passed in a heartbeat and it only seems like yesterday that I was talking about my favourite things from June.
This month I finished all of my cancer treatment and I’ve been really enjoying feeling well and getting back to normal – or my new normal at least.
My hair is growing – slowly but surely! My eyebrows and eyelashes are back and I’m really starting to enjoy experimenting with make up again.
So here are my July favourites!
1. Nude By Nature Contour & Highlight Collection
I’ve been loving this gorgeous new Nude By Nature collection. The packaging is a very stylish rose gold and my particular favourite item is the Highlight Palette.
I’ve been using it with the Pointed Precision Brush to define my cheeks (because my cheekbones are non-existent) and doubling it as an eyeshadow trio too. The brush is so soft yet really helps me define a line, then blend in well.

On the subject of Instagram, this has to be one of my most favourite things from July – I’ve been loving uploading images and drooling over everyone else’s.
It’s quite an addictive app and I can get lost for hours on it scrolling through images of cute babies, beautiful homes and, well, everything!
Here’s a link to my Instagram account if you want to see the kind of images that I post.
3. MooGoo Eczema & Psoriasis Cream
I got a little tube of the MooGoo Eczema & Psoriasis Cream in this month’s BellaBaby Box and it was so perfectly timed for me. I have 2 patches of very dry skin (possibly ezcema) that I just haven’t been able to get rid of. I’ve had one for over a year as it first appeared when I was pregnant with my son.
I’ve never had eczema in my life before and was a bit clueless on how to treat it. I’ve tried different creams that work really well but it comes back as soon as I stop using them.
I’ve been using this MooGoo cream and one patch disappeared a day after I applied it – gone! The other is nearly gone. I’m going to keep using the rest of the tube every day and see what happens but I have really high hopes!
4. My Home Office
My home office workspace is all set up and I’ve been loving working from home in it so much. It’s in a corner of our living room so I can keep an eye on the kids, or watch TV!, while I work.
I also love that it’s next to 2 big windows so my view is of our garden and desk. Pics here – I’d love to hear what you think of it.
I spend a lot of time on Pinterest, pinning gorgeous pics of other home offices – you can follow that board here:
5. The Blogging Community
I’m so lucky to be part of a fantastic blogging community in both Australia and the UK. The friendship and support I receive is so amazing.
Blogging is a fantastic hobby but can also be a lonely one in the early days and I’ve just loved building relationships with some lovely bloggers over the years.
My fab friend Kate at the Less-Refined Mind runs a linky that I just love. It’s called Inspire & Flourish and joining in means you have the opportunity to read and promote some lovely posts from another blogger and also have one of your own posts promoted too.
As well as receiving a digital ‘nod’ in the form of a backlink, I think it’s a great way to discover new blogs and to share some love with fellow bloggers. Kate has inspired me to read and promote other blogs that I love – something I used to do a lot in my Mim Loves Blogs series – I might even resurrect this!
I’d love to know what your July favourites were – do let me know!
