The Kids Business Bloggers Brunch!
Last week I was invited to attend the Kids Business Bloggers Brunch in Melbourne and had so much fun!
Kids Business Communications hosts the Bloggers BrunchTM and Bloggers BBQTM series of events where bloggers and brands meet and mingle. You can find out more at www.kidsbusiness.com.au.
I attended my first Bloggers Brunch in April this year in Sydney and had so much fun catching up with other bloggers, the team at Kids Business and some amazing Australian brands that I’ve since collaborated with so I was excited to go again.
I decided to do it as a day trip which meant getting up at 3am – argh! I flew into Melbourne early and met my friend Kylie from Kidgredients and together we made our way to Encore at St Kilda for the event.
After listening to some amazing speakers, I networked away with so many awesome brands such as Maxi-Cosi, Lansinoh, Earth Choice, Nude Food Movers and so many more.
I also had the chance to catch up with the lovely team from Cancer Cancer Australia and this was a particular highlight.
I’ve worked with Cancer Council many times recently and will be doing so again in the coming months!
The brunch ran from 10am to 2pm and following that a few of us headed to Beachcombers, a local restaurant, for a couple of glasses of wine before heading back to the airport.
My flight wasn’t until 8pm so I even had time for a bit of airport shopping!
I arrived home at 10.30pm absolutely exhausted but with a suitcase stuffed full of goodies from the wonderful brands I met on the day.
I think the main highlight for me was meeting Peppa Pig! I showed my 3 year old daughter who was equally impressed and jealous – although I think I might like Peppa even more than she does!
The Kids Business Bloggers Brunch is such a fantastic event for parenting bloggers of all levels of experience. It doesn’t matter if you’re just starting out or have many years under your belt, you’ll definitely get something out of it.
For me, I love to catch up with my blogging friends, they’re like my colleagues! I also love having the opportunity to network with some amazing brands in the one place – everyone is just so friendly and it’s easy to start up a conversation.
The event is every April and November and I’m already looking forward to the next one!
Disclosure: Kids Business very kindly gave me a travel allowance so I was actually able to attend this brilliant networking event.
