Mim Loves Blogs – Mummy Muddler!

Mim Loves Blogs – Mummy Muddler

Happy Monday to you all!  It’s Mim Loves Blogs time again for me.

Firstly, I hope the UK mums had a lovely Mother’s Day yesterday :)  I overindulged in chocolate – not feeling guilty at all.  Maybe a little bit guilty.   Ok, I feel sick.

I had a lovely week all-in-all though despite one major milestone in Miss M’s little life.

We had our first full blown, no holds barred, give-it-all-you’ve-got tantrum.

I had thought she’d had a tanty before.  Oh no.  This was the real deal – a proper one – thankfully in the ‘comfort’ of her Nanny’s house rather than the supermarket/park/anywhere else where there may have been an audience.

It came from nowhere but it lasted an hour – is that normal?  Short?  Long?  I did not like it.  I’d had the audacity to ask her to sit in the stroller so we could go for a walk and it didn’t go down well at all.  The very nerve of me.

Hurray – is this the Terrible Twos come early?

So funnily enough, a post that caught my eye this week was all about the demands of our toddlers and was by the very lovely Mummy Muddler.  Abby writes a very entertaining blog about her adventures in parenthood.  She’s a Brit in Sydney with a 2 years old toddler and another on the way – which is scarily similar to own situation except we just got back in England from Sydney a year ago!

Her post on the 10 Toddler Commandments had me in stitches and it will you too – particularly no. 1 for me!

You can follow Abby on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook here and if you have a toddler, you definitely have to check out the post above – so funny!

Hope you’re all having a wonderful week so far and if you have any advice on how to handle/prevent/hide from toddler tantrums, please comment below!

Well I’m glad you indulged in some chocolate at least! Good luck with the tantrums!

Thanks so much for the mention. It’s exciting to see a real-life, experienced blogger notice my new blog. No offence to my mum and her encouraging comments!

We’ve not yet had a full-blown tanty, but friends of mine with kids the same age (ours all turned 2 in the last couple of months) have, and 45 mins- 1 hour seems normal apparently. Like that’s any comfort to you ha!

Oh the joy we have to look forward to

How old is your little one now? Mine is 14 months and she’s not quite had a tantrum she does get quite angry and cry when I take something away from her such as the phone, remote controls, iPads etc!

She’s just turned 2 – perhaps the start of the terrible twos! We have so much to look forward to ha ha! :)
