My Goals for 2016
It’s just occurred to me that it’s nearly the end of the year and I haven’t given any thought to my goals for 2016!
Don’t judge me, I’ve been busy :)
So, I’ve thought long and hard (for all of 2 minutes) and I’m setting myself these 10 goals:
1. Move house
I’m already part way through this. We’re moving next week. Nice easy one to tick off this list in the first month :)
2. Get used to my new short hair
And try my best to KEEP it through chemo. Come on hair, stick with me.
3. Keep my eyebrows!
If the hair goes, it goes. For the love of God let me keep my eyebrows though, purlease! And my eyelashes. I’m not quite sure that this is a good goal really as there isn’t much I can control about it.
I could Sellotape them on? Shall I tape my eyebrows on to my head?
4. Lose a bit of weight
Now I’m quietly confident with this one – chemo is so far proving awesome for incidental weight loss. Win!
5. Do a bit of exercise
Maybe walking – it’s good for the soul isn’t it. I’m going to make an effort to walk Mini M a few times a week as that’s stopped recently.
This is slightly hindered by Mr M driving over our bloody pram! It’s a little bit mangled.
I got a beautiful fancy planner for Christmas and intend to use it to plan my blog a little better – I’ll post more on that soon. Well, I plan to.
7. Get through treatment
I figure I’ll be done with the chemo and radiotherapy by around Aug/Sept. Whilst I don’t want to wish my time away, I’m focussing on that end goal and getting there a day at a time.
8. Make an attempt at pretty
I’ll be honest, I look as rough as I feel at the moment – but I’m going to attempt to not give in to the urge to be a slob.
That said, having cancer is a lovely justification to extend my post-pregnancy comfortable wardrobe – hello elasticated waist bands, don’t mind if I do wear you again today!
For the sake of my marriage I’ll try and make a small effort to look like a lady though. Hopefully a lady with EYEBROWS!
9. Be a fun Mum
And not just a poorly, tired, sleepy Mum. I plan to make the most of my ‘up’ days and fill them with playtime, laughs and cuddles with my adorable bambinos.
10. Beat Cancer
Pretty self explanatory. I plan to be cancer free by approximately September.
And I think that’s just about enough goals for 2016 for me!
What about you, any New Years resolutions?
Or any tips on prolonging the life of chemofied eyebrows?
