Slumbersac Baby Sleeping Bag Review
Well Mini M is 5 month’s old and it’s time to unswaddle him! So we were excited to review a Slumbersac Baby Sleeping Bag.
I’ve loved him being swaddled – apart from looking cute all bundled up, he’s found it so calming to be tucked in tight like he was in the womb.
Although Mini isn’t yet rolling around, I expect it won’t be long and it’s time to let him have a bit more freedom of movement at night time.
We arrived in Australia last week and decided it would be a good time to change from a swaddle to a sleeping bag then.
We’ve been alternating between a lightweight and a slightly heavier sleeping bag, depending on how warm it is at night. Mini tends to sleep in just a vest onesie underneath.
We were kindly send a Slumbersac baby sleeping bag and chose this beautiful Velour Sweet Dreams one.
It’s so cute with giraffes on the front and the material is lovely and cosy. Mini is already a cuddlesome baby but in this sleeping bag it’s hard to put him down!
We got it in a size 6-12 months so it should last him ages too.
The great thing about this sleeping bag is the 100% cotton lining so he doesn’t overheat in it. We chose a sleeveless one as it’s great for all seasons – we can choose how to layer him up underneath.
There is a lot of kicking room for his little legs to kick around and he loves it so far!
It took a few nights for him to get used to having his arms and hands free and he did wake himself up a few times by hitting himself in the face, oops. I think that has settled down now and he quite likes having some freedom. As content as he was in his swaddle, we can’t keep him a baby forever, boo hoo.
This beautiful sleeping bag is currently on sale too! You can buy your own here for £9 (price current as of Oct 18th 2015).
As well as sleeping bags for all seasons, Slumbersac also have a beautiful range of comforters, ponchos and personalised gifts.
Disclosure: we were sent this beautiful sleeping bag in return for our honest review.
