Tiddley Pom Natural Baby Spa Products Review
Just before the birth of my second baby we were sent some beautiful items from the gorgeous Tiddley Pom Natural Baby Spa range.
The co-founders, with many years’ experience in the skincare and aromatherapy industries, have formulated this unique range to combine aromatherapy, music and massage to create a relaxing atmosphere for babies.
Mini takes after his big sister and, on the whole, isn’t a fan of the bath-time experience.
We’ve adapted the way we do bath-time now to try and make him feel more comfortable and relaxed; humming a lullaby, dimming the lights and having a warm, fluffy towel waiting for him. I immediately thought the Tiddley Pom products would complement our approach given that they contain soothing lavender.
The first thing I noticed was the beautiful, pretty packaging. These would make lovely gifts for a new or expectant parent!
We’ve been using the products for two weeks now and here’s what I thought of each one:
Organic Baby Wash
This contains English lavender and chamomile oils and smells divine. It’s light in texture and didn’t smell ‘chemically’ at all like some baby washes do. As Mini is still a newborn, we’re very careful about what we use on his skin and this is very gentle. For the first few weeks we only bathed him in water and this seems just as gentle but smells much nicer :)
Although Mini is only 9 week’s old and doesn’t get too messy right now, we bath him every other day and sometimes more depending on how much milk he’s decided to drool over himself that day. For that reason, it’s important that the products we use are gentle and not harsh in any way.
Organic Soothing Lotion
Containing the same essential oils as the baby wash and more, this smells lovely. It also has shea and coconut butters and is rich in omegas 3, 6 and 9 so it’s lovely and moisturising and not drying at all.
I don’t use the lotion after every bath because I don’t feel that he needs too much of it but I love to use it when I’m giving him a mini massage and on any areas of dry skin he gets.
I’ll admit to using this on my own skin too as it smells lovely and my skin feels so soft afterwards. Not quite baby-soft but better than it was :)
Organic Nappy Balm
Mini suffered with nappy rash early on but we’re on top of it now and we keep his baby bum soft and soothed with nappy balm when we change him so I was delighted to try this. It goes on very smoothly and isn’t sticky at all so helps to make change time quick and easy. Which I’ve found is very important when changing a baby boy as I got wee’d on many times in the early days. And today. I’ll never learn.
The three products we’ve been using are lovely, gentle and a pleasure to use. They would make such beautiful gifts and the range also carries massage products, skincare and relaxing CDs so do check it out.
One thing I have noticed about bath-time is that when we are relaxed, Mini is much more relaxed too and I really think the lavender contained in these products has helped to soothe myself and Mr M too so we’re all benefiting :)
