Hello Kitty Trunki Review

Hello Kitty Trunki Review

As you might know, we’re in the process of emigrating to Australia – in fact we leave in less than 1 month!  Time seems to be flying now and there is still so much to organise.

Our flights are booked, our accommodation for when we arrive is sorted and now we just have to tackle the epic job of packing our things.

I’m not particularly looking forward to the flight and expect it won’t be easy to travel with a toddler and a baby.  We decided it might be fun to get Miss M a Trunki!  Here’s our Trunki review.

I remember seeing Trunkis for the first time on the Dragon’s Den TV show and I’ve loved them since then – that was way before I met Mr M, let alone had my own children!  So I was so excited to have an actual child to now finally get one for!

We ordered ours from rakuten.co.uk where I’m now an affiliate partner and chose the Hello Kitty Trunki one as Miss M loves her (almost as much as I do).  She LOVES it!

Miss M is 2 and now has her own seat on the plane which means she gets the same 7kg carry on allowance as we do – which is great as we’ll need to take quite a few things to keep her occupied on the 24 hour flight!

The Trunki is so cute, pink with large Hello Kitty faces on either side.  It has 4 wheels and a detachable strap so can be pulled along or if she’s tired, she can sit on it and we can pull her along.

Inside there is loads of room and a pocket to store her toys and snacks and it’s size is perfect for carry on luggage.

My thoughts are that we’ll bring a few toys, an iPad (if we decide to invest in one) and some snacks so that they’re all in one place and she’ll feel like a ‘big girl’ having her very own bag for all of her things.

It’s a really sturdy bag with 2 fastenings that also lock so hopefully we won’t have any risk of the contents spilling out!

rakuten.co.uk (previously play.com) have an extensive range of everything you could possibly need for travel, baby, home and, well, everything!  There were a few Trunkis to choose from but we couldn’t resist the Hello Kitty one!

I can’t wait for Mini M to be big enough for his own as well – although pulling them both along, plus suitcases at the airport might not be too much fun!

Do you have any suggestions on what we should pack in Miss M’s new Trunki to keep her occupied during the flight and at the airport?

Disclosure: We were sent this lovely Trunki as a gift from Rakuten for joining their affiliate program.

Oh I do like these, we haven’t travelled far with our girls since they’ve been big enough to appreciate things like this but I do look forward to a time when we can get one, Libby would be so excited by this! My only tip for keeping children occupied on the plane is to wrap things up in birthday wrapping paper. Both some new toys and old favourites that you know they love. Everything is more exciting when you’ve just opened it ;)

Oh that is a WONDERFUL tip, I hadn’t thought of that but she loves unwrapping things and it would make it so much more special for her! Thank you :) It’s such a lovely little suitcase – I wish they had them when I was little but at least we get to watch them enjoying them now, don’t we :) x

That Hello Kitty trunki is absolutely adorable!! Make sure you take a little story book you can read to her and hopefully she’ll have a long nap on the flight!
