Weekly Round Up – Week 7

Happy Sunday everyone! We’ve been busy bees but things are finally settling down so I’m back with a weekly round up!

Here’s what we’ve been up to in the past week:

On lovefrommim.com

•  My Most Read Post was – Hopes Relief Goats Milk Skincare Duo review and giveaway.  My eczema has returned (boo hoo) so I’m back to using their lovely range to try and keep it at bay.

•  My Favourite Post was – 5 ways the Second Pregnancy is Different to the First as I’ve been reminiscing a little bit about when I was pregnant – it seems such a long time ago now!

•  My Favourite Archived Post – Mini M’s 5 month update – aww he’s such a big boy now!  We’re only a couple of weeks away from starting baby led weaning with him – really looking forward to it.

•  I’ve been Reviewing – a Slumbersac Baby Sleeping Bag and the lovely Green People Age Defy+ skincare range.

On my To Do list for next week

•  I have started the weaning process for Mini so need to keep up the momentum for that.

•  We’ll be starting baby led weaning with him on his 6 month birthday in November so we need to get him a high chair and a few HUGE bibs – it will be messy!

•  SO much to do!  We need to buy a work car for Mr M as well as get phones, connect the internet, set up the utilities – the list is endless.

I’ve mentioned this before but these weekly round up posts are inspired by Aby’s #TheList linky at You Baby Me Mummy :)

How is your week going and what’s on your To Do list?

I’m just starting my little one on baby led weaning as well. I did it with no 2, and it was great, but get ready for the mess! x #TwinklyTuesday

Ha argh I don’t know what we’ll do as we have carpet in the dining room here! Yay I hope you’re having fun with it :) x

Huge fan of baby-led weaning here. Although I call it ‘dump everything on Charlie’s high chair tray and let him go for it’ – haha. Even if he only eats the chicken I feel better knowing he has all the five food groups represented :)
However… the mess… omg. I am so SICK of being on my hands and knees picking stuff off the rug. I went to a friend’s place the other day and she had a strip of plastic under her daughter’s table which she got from Bunnings – said it saved her. So thinking about that.

Ha ha it is SO messy!! It’s a lot of fun though and they learn so much more than just feeding themselves don’t they :) That’s a great idea about the plastic under the table thank you!

Glad you’re settling in! I really admire people who can cope with (& actually look forward to) baby led weaning! I can do it a bit, with certain foods, but cannot handle the chaos of fully committing to it! #twinklytuesday

Thanks lovely! Ha it’s so so messy but it is a lot of fun too – just ask me again in a few weeks how much I’m loving it :) x

Oh good luck with the weaning, exciting times! #TwinklyTuesday

Aaah I LOVED weaning the boys! I loved seeing their reactions to new foods :) Priceless! I did a combo of spoon-fed and baby led after I knew they’d had enough to eat!! Seeing the food smeared all over the table — and none in their mouths — put pay to total BLW!! I wanted to know that they were going to bed with full stomachs! ;) Thanks so much for linking up to #TwinklyTuesday — hope to see you again tomorrow!

    • 27th October 2015 / 10:32 am

Ha ha yes I think it took a good couple of weeks before any food made it into her actually mouth, let alone her tummy! We took videos, so so funny to watch! x

This is a lovely little round up Mim. I hope weaning goes well. I did BLW with Ava and loved it; I think it’s great. I have A LOT on my to do list (as always!) xx

Thanks lovely! It is fun isn’t it and great to see the babies learning to pick up – and throw! x
