Choc Nibbles Hamper Giveaway!
I’m not much of a baker but those who know me well know that I love a sweet treat and particularly a chocolate one! I was thrilled when Choc Nibbles sent a lovely box of chocolatey treats from their moreish range and challenged me to take part in their Summer Blogger Challenge to whip up a dessert using Choc Nibbles.
Of course my first thought was “can’t I just eat them?” but I do love a challenge and being an avid
eater baker I thought I’d have a bash at making a frozen Eton Mess style dessert with a chocolatey twist!
I’m not one for following a recipe, I like to just get stuck in. The faster it’s made, the faster I can eat it – I tend to fall afoul of this mantra many times but never learn.
As I wasn’t sticking to the traditional recipe (at all!), I instead used ingredients I already had in the fridge and freezer and decided upon a White Chocolate and Raspberry theme. Well I had that flavour ice cream in the freezer and I used this instead of cream.
It took about 10 minutes for me to grab a big bowl and whip together chopped raspberries and strawberries, the ice-cream, some roughly chopped meringue and some yummy Choc Nibbles!
The Choc Nibbles come in a few delicious flavours – original, toffee crumble, orange, mint, choc lick and two new flavours, jammie and posh. I used to LOVE them as a kid, going into the local sweet shop and buying a bag full from one of their giant jars on display.
I’m calling it the Choc Nibble Mama Mim Mess. The great thing about Eton Mess is that it looks just like that – a mess! But it tastes delicious and this frozen version was actually very nice indeed for Summer!
Miss M and Mr got stuck in and ate the lot in no time at all – that’s all I needed to show me it was edible!
Being a mum of a toddler and a baby, I’m so time poor but still want to try and create fun treats occasionally for the family and this was a brilliant way of using things we already had and putting them together really quickly.
I might not be winning any bake off competitions any day soon of course!
Want to get your hands on some Choc Nibbles of your own?? Well you’ve come to the right place as I’m giving away a Choc Nibbles Samples Hamper (samples of all flavours!) to one lucky reader – yum!
