Mim Loves Blogs – Poop Rainbows
Happy Monday and welcome back to my Mim Loves Blogs blog recommendation!
How was your weekend? We had a lovely family picnic yesterday :)
Did you know that we’re emigrating? Read more here in my weekly round up from last week.
This is one of my absolute favourite blogs, combining honesty, hilarity and some awesome illustrations. Of course I’m talking about the fabulous My Kid Doesn’t Poop Rainbows!
The Mama blogs almost about her family life with the Mummy and the Baby, the challenges, fun and frolics of raising a baby depicted in words and drawings. As you can see above, she’s so talented and I laugh my socks off particularly at how well she captures facial expressions!
Last week, I loved the post The Three Stages of Baby Play Dates. Oh how it took me back to when Miss M was younger!
She guides you perfectly through what to expect after you’ve had a baby in getting ready, getting out of the house and ‘conducting’ a play date through the stages of babyhood and of course it’s a far cry from the pre-baby days of old!
I’ve been thinking a lot about this lately now that I have two children. Will I EVER have a night out again? I mean, a proper night out where I might even ENJOY getting ready leisurely, perhaps with a glass of wine?
I have no hankering to stay out until 5am any more but it might be nice to not have to get up at 5am one day too!
Play dates with parents of kids the same age are definitely the way forward I think – we’re all in it together then and it helps to see that everyone else is (just about) managing the same as you. I love my mums and babies group for that – a ready made social circle for you and your baby where everyone forgives everything you and your baby might do – lateness, mess, tantrums – all of it!
And FYI, my kids do not poop rainbows either :)
