My 3 Favourite Blog Posts this Week!
This is my second week taking part in my friend Kate’s Inspire & Flourish linky at The Less-Refined Mind. Last week I shared my favourites for June and this week I’m sharing my 3 favourite blog posts of the week.
I read so many blogs every day and I hope you find these 3 posts as great as I did!
1. Blogging gave me something I never had: You Baby Me Mummy
I absolutely love this post by Aby at You Baby Me Mummy. Aby talks about how many wonderful friends she has made within the blogging community since she started blogging in August 2013.
Aby has been one of my blogging inspirations since I started blogging at around the same time as she did. The sheer quantity of her content amazes me and is always so high quality and engaging.
More than that though, Aby is such a lovely person inside and out, she’s so generous with her advice and time and I just love her to bits. A real friend – we will meet at some point Aby! x
2. Life Update: A Cornish Mum
I adore Stevie and her blog – one of my absolute faves. I loved Stevie’s Life Update post because it rang so true for me too. Stevie talks about how her kids are growing, spending more time at school and even off on a school camp.
I share her feelings about being so proud of them but how bittersweet it is too as they grow and spend more time away.
Life really does fly by and I’m trying to hold on to every moment and appreciate all of the time I have with my two kids.
3. Mindful Mondays: Taylor Made Ramblings
This week I discovered a blog I hadn’t read before by Rebecca at Taylor Made Ramblings.
Rebecca has recently started a new regular feature called Mindful Mondays and this week she focused on being mindful of the natural beauty that surrounds us. Her descriptive recollection of her experience of the current UK summer had me imagining that I was there too, despite it being winter where I am in Australia!
I think Rebecca’s linky is a brilliant idea and one to really keep people accountable to being mindful. I love how each week, Rebecca sets a mindfulness task for the next week!
Since my cancer diagnosis 7 months ago, ‘mindfulness’ is a concept I’ve come back to over and over again. I’m so determined to be grateful and aware of the here and now, rather than feeling worried for whatever the future might bring. Rebecca’s feature has inspired me to be even more aware of everything I have and the little details in life – the good bits that we sometimes fail to focus on.
